Invoices

The Invoices module covers the whole financial cycle — creating an invoice, tracking payment deadlines, recording payments, and generating collection reports. Invoices link to clients and cases, export to PDF or Excel, and send directly to the client by email. Collection status is available in real time for every invoice.

What you can do

  • Create invoices
  • Record payments
  • Track the outstanding amount
  • View the activity history
  • Export invoices to PDF and Excel
  • Send invoices to clients by email
Note:  To send an invoice by email, the client must have an email address recorded in their details.

Note:  If you cannot see this option, you may not have the required permissions. Contact your office administrator.

Open the invoice list

  • In the main menu, click Invoices.

The list shows the invoice number, type, category, total amount, currency, partner name, issue date, and payment deadline.

Use status filters

  • Paid
  • Partially paid
  • Unpaid

View invoice details

Basic details — invoice number, issue date, payment deadline, invoice type, linked case, client details, cancellation status, and notes.

Financial details — currency, total amount, total amount paid, date of last payment, and outstanding amount.

View invoice line items

The Invoice line items tab shows all billing items: name, price, currency, and the linked activity.

Record a payment

The Payments tab shows recorded payments. From the payments entered, Lexra automatically calculates the outstanding amount and updates the invoice status.

View activity history

The Activity history tab shows every change to the invoice: the user, the type of change, and the date and time.

Export an invoice

  • Click PDF preview or Excel preview.

Lexra generates a document for review, download, or distribution.

Send an invoice by email

  • Open the invoice.
  • Click Send by email.
  • Confirm the sending.

Lexra sends the invoice to the email address recorded in the client's details.
